REV applications for small business pitch competition now open

Clinton, IL, August 1, 2023 - First National Bank and Trust Company has partnered with DeWitt County Development Council (DCDC) to host REV, a small business pitch competition where $15,000 will be distributed to one or more entrepreneurs. Applications are due September 15, 2023.

From the pool of applicants, up to five businesses will be selected to pitch and be judged on all aspects of their business in front of a panel on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Clinton High School located at 1200 IL-54, Clinton, IL 61727. The event is also open to the public and free to attend.

Entrants have 10 minutes to pitch their business concepts, followed by questions from a panel of judges. Applicants will be judged on their pitch, marketing, personal investment level and exit strategy.

First National Bank and Trust Company started the event in 2017 in an effort to spur economic growth and encourage business owners to continue pursuing their dreams. During the six competitions, the bank has collectively awarded $75,000 to the winners.
