Josh Shofner headshot

Josh Shofner – President

Josh joined First National Bank and Trust in 2000 upon completion of his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois. In 2002, he graduated from the Midwest School for Community Bankers with honors. He has worked on the consumer and commercial side of lending while also serving as the Bank Secrecy Officer for 13 years with a significant involvement in operations and compliance. In 2012, Josh received his M.B.A. from Illinois State University with a concentration in Finance while earning the programs top award during his final semester, the MBA Distinguished Leadership Award. In 2017, he was named Market President for First National Bank and Trust. In addition to his bank service, Josh has served 13 years as a DeLand-Weldon School Board member, the Village of Weldon Treasurer since 2016, and as a member of the Clinton Rotary Club since 2000.

Josh Grzadzielewski - VP of Community Banking

Josh joined First National Bank and Trust Company as Area Branch Manager with the merger of State Bank of Arcadia in October 2021. He has been with the bank since 2007 initially serving as a loan officer and in 2014 transitioned to manager at our Independence location. He graduated from Winona State University in 2005 with a B.S. in Business Administration. In his community, Josh has served as secretary for the Arcadia Country Club and currently resides on the Holy Family Catholic School Finance committee and serves as Treasurer for the Arcadia Youth Association.

Lance White - VP of Ag and Business Banking

Lance White joined First National Bank and Trust Company as Vice President of Ag and Business Banking in 2022. Prior to FNBT Lance was the A.V.P. in Commercial Lending at a community bank in Clinton, IL. He has more than 25 years of experience in consumer, commercial and mortgage lending. His career in banking began shortly after graduating from Olivet Nazarene University (B.A. in Accounting) by starting as a teller in his hometown. He has completed several banking schools including IBA’s 2-year Bankers School, IBA Residential Real Estate Lending School, IBA Consumer Lending School and the CBAI Basic Compliance School. Early in his career he also doubled as the Loan Compliance Officer for 5 years. Lance has served in his local community as a board member in Kiwanis Service Club, Exchange Club, Clinton First Church of the Nazarene and DeWitt County Development Council, where he’s also served as the treasurer.  Lance’s goal is to provide a positive and personal experience for every client that exceeds their expectations.

Keith Witte - VP of Ag & Business Banking

Keith merged into First National Bank and Trust Company in October of 2021 when FNBT acquired State Bank of Arcadia (WI). He graduated from the University of WI – River Falls in 1978 with a B.S. in Farm Management; Ag Economics minor. The first ten years of his career were with the Farm Credit System (favoring agricultural financing). Following that, Keith has been with community banks providing both agricultural and business financing, serving at the former State Bank of Arcadia for over 25 years. His education has continued via the Wisconsin Bankers Association Commercial Lending School and various seminars through the years. Keith is active with the Arcadia Area Chamber of Commerce, having held leadership positions in the past and currently on a committee board.  Additional community involvement includes Bethel Lutheran Church and various local events.

Bruce Klein - AVP of Ag & Business Banking

Bruce joined First National Bank and Trust Company as Assistant Vice President of Ag and Business Banking with the merger of State Bank of Arcadia in October 2021, carrying over his experience with the bank since March of 2016. Previously he had 30+ years of diversified experience in commercial, ag, consumer and mortgage lending, along with management responsibilities. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Platteville WI with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agri-Business and a minor in Ag Finance. Bruce has attended many banking classes and conferences throughout his career, since starting in banking with the Farm Credit Services of Sparta WI, and later working in their Special Credit department in Madison. He has worked for several lending institutions in Minnesota, including 16 years at Security State Bank of Lewiston as a lender and eventually the bank’s manager for seven years. He has served on many boards including the Minnesota Ag Bankers Credit Council where he was president for two years.  Bruce continues with his devotion as a community servant, where in the past he served on boards, or as a director, of local and state Diabetes Committees/Foundations, Home and Community Options-service for the mentally disadvantaged, Church, Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Authority and Lions Clubs. Bruce’s approach to banking and in life, is to help others while not only wearing their shoes, but to walk a mile in them.

Emanuel Gomez – AVP of Consumer Credit

Emanuel joined First National Bank and Trust Company as AVP of Consumer Credit in September 2022. Prior to FBNT, he was a loan officer for a community bank in Whitehall, WI. Emanuel's lending experience started three years ago when he was a loan originator for a direct mortgage lender based out of Melville, New York. He attended Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis for four years, working toward s BS in Computer Informatics and a minor in Business. Emanuel's main duties will be focused on real estate and consumer lending, as well as helping clients with all their needs, using his over seven years of client service experience.

Rachel Costello – VP of Consumer Banking

Rachel joined First National Bank and Trust Company in October 2010, and today she serves as the Vice President of Personal Banking. Her work experience includes four years with a Central Florida credit union, six years as a marketing and project support coordinator in Decatur, Illinois, and her most recent tenure with FNBT. During her time with First National Bank and Trust Company, Rachel has been involved in customer service, personal banking and lending functions. Rachel is a proud Millikin University Alumni, having received her Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Organizational Leadership, cum laude, in 2005. Since 2017, she has served on the Clinton Community YMCA as a board member and enjoys community-based projects.




Danielle Decker – Branch Manager, AVP, Clinton

Danielle has been with First National Bank and Trust Company since August of 2019, starting as a Universal Banker and growing to Branch Manager. She is a proud Eastern Illinois University Alumni, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Danielle was a stay at home mom for nine years before joining First National Bank. Her joy of helping children learn spread to be part of Junior Achievement in different school within our local communities. Danielle's main focus as the Branch Manager for the Clinton branch is a continuing education of her team on products and skills to better serve our clients.



Anne Olson – Area Branch Manager, Whitehall

Anne joined the State Bank of Arcadia in June of 2016 as a teller. In August of 2022, she was promoted Area Branch Manager for Independence and Whitehall, WI with First National Bank and Trust Company. Anne is currently working towards her BBA in Finance with an expected graduation date of Spring of 2025 from University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at her church doing highway cleanup and helping with school concessions.



Braden Newman – Ag and Business Relationship Manager

Braden joined First National Bank and Trust Company in November 2021 as an Ag and Business Relationship Manager in Clinton, IL. His career in banking began shortly after graduating from Illinois State University in 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. In addition to working at the bank, Braden is an associate director for the DeWitt County Soil and Water Conservation district, member of the DeWitt County Farm Bureau Young Leaders and farms in Northern DeWitt County.



Ian Leavitt – Ag and Business Relationship Manager

Ian joined the First National Bank and Trust Company as a Business Associate in November of 2022 but soon transitioned to an Ag and Business Relationship Manager in February of 2023. His prior work experience was primarily spent in the field of agriculture in various capacities, mostly in sales. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout for one year before transferring to Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI where he earned an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science-Agronomy in the spring of 2014. Since his hire, he has completed the Commercial Lending Institute with the Community Bankers Association of Illinois. He has been active in his community through prior involvement with the Arcadia Sportsmen’s Club and the Arcadia-Glencoe Volunteer Fire Department. Ian and his family are members of Holy Family Catholic Parish where he serves as a youth catechist.

Matt Riley, ChFC® , ChSNC® - Fiduciary Officer, VP

Matt Riley was named Fiduciary Officer, VP, for First National Bank and Trust Company in January 2019, helping clients to meet their prosperity goals through investment and estate planning. Prior to joining FNBT, Matt had risk and compliance analysis experience at State Farm Bank in Bloomington, Ill. Matt is a proud Illinois State University Alumni, receiving his B.S. in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Planning. He has continued his education journey, earning other designations including the Chartered Financial Consultant designation. In addition to his bank service, Matt became a member of the Clinton Rotary Club in April of 2019 and became a board member for the Warner Hospital & Health Services Foundation in May of 2019.
