Our Story

First National Bank and Trust Company is a community bank that values citizenship, exceptional client service and serving as a business leader in its community. Committed to supporting local organizations, the bank reinvests 10 percent of their net income back to the community. Branch locations include Clinton in Illinois along with Arcadia, Independence and Whitehall in Wisconsin.

History

First National Bank and Trust Company was chartered in in 1872 under the name DeWitt County National Bank and will celebrate 150 years in 2022. The name was changed to First National Bank and Trust Company in 1974.

In 2017, First National Bank and Trust Company was acquired by TS Banking Group.

In 2021, First National Bank and Trust Company acquired State Bank of Arcadia of Arcadia and Whitehall Wisconsin. As of October 1, 2021, State Bank of Arcadia’s name and operations merged into First National Bank and Trust Company, with the resulting bank having approximately $400 million in total assets across the five locations.

TS Banking Group

The TS Banking Group is a joint venture between Treynor Bancshares, Inc., the bank holding company of TS Bank; and the newly formed bank holding company, TS Contrarian Bancshares, Inc., representing over $1 billion in banking and fiduciary assets across Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and North Dakota. The TS Banking Group and two affiliated bank holding companies are headquartered in Treynor, Iowa, near the Omaha, Nebraska MSA.
