First National Bank and Trust Company donates $10,000 to Warner Hospital and Health Services Foundation

Clinton, IL, November 5, 2021 - First National Bank and Trust Company is pleased to announced a $10,000 donation to the Warner Hospital and Health Services (WHHS) Foundation to assist the hospital in Clinton, IL with improvements and necessary equipment, particularly an EKG machine. Additionally, a portion of the funds will be contributed to scholarships for students entering the medical field and supporting at-risk families with insurance needs.
“Having continued access to high quality local care and expanding services is more important than ever, including promoting healthier lives and a healthier local economy,” said Rachel Costello, vice president of personal banking with First National Bank and Trust Company. “We are honored to help area residents have continued access to essential services such as a 24-hour emergency department, physical therapy, cardiac rehab services, and more.”
As a result of the pandemic, WHHS Foundation did not ask for contributions in 2020. Nevertheless, the hospital has responded to the community during the challenges of COVID-19, providing critical services and excellent patient care.
This year the foundation is raising funds for an EKG machine, other essential upgrades as well as scholarships to train and educate future healthcare workers. The group had a $25,000 fundraising goal for 2021 and have raised nearly 80% of those funds thus far.
