Nancy Lettner 40 years

$1,000 Gift to Honor 40 Years of Service

June 13, 2022

Today, we honor a very familiar face at First National Bank and Trust Company who recently celebrated a big milestone. Nancy Lettner, Vice President of Consumer Credit, is celebrating 40 years of service. In addition to an individual tenure gift, employees who serve more than 30 years with the bank receive $1,000 to donate to a charity of their choice, a donation that is made in their honor. Nancy has chosen Holy Family Catholic School; an organization close to her heart and part of her story for generations.

Holy Family Catholic School was founded in 1889 and has rich history in the Arcadia community. Holy Family Catholic School currently serves children of all religions from age 3 to 8th grade and continues to thrive, serve and minister to the community.

Nancy shared, “My four sisters and I went to school there. Our four children attended the school over a span of 20 years, and now we have two granddaughters there. My personal involvement in the school and helping to raise funds for its continued operation have been going on for a long time.”

Due to COVID, the school has had to cancel the annual fundraiser held at the school for a few years now. This fundraiser is a good boost for the school each year. Nancy has helped cashier the auction held at the fundraiser for many years. The auction is a fun way to raise funds for the school and brings in significant funds due to the plentiful donation of items and the generous bidders at the auction.

Nancy started at State Bank of Arcadia (now First National Bank and Trust Company) through a business program during her senior year at Arcadia High School. When the program was finished; the bank offered her a full-time job. She started the Monday after her high school graduation and has been there ever since.

“When you devote so much of your time and life to one thing, like my work at the bank, it is truly an honor to be recognized. To be able to make this donation as a result of that is what banking is about. We are always looking for ways to give back to the community,” added Nancy.

During her time at the bank, she has had the opportunity to attend the National Compliance School held at the University of Oklahoma and the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s Consumer Credit School in De Pere, Wisconsin, as well as numerous other banking classes and conferences.  Nancy has held various roles in lending, compliance and deposits, working her way up from secretary to Executive Vice President and her newest role as Vice President of Consumer Credit.

Nancy concluded, “It is the joy I receive in helping people realize their dream and setting them up to succeed financially that has kept me at the bank, as well as the wonderful relationships I have built.”

Going the extra mile for clients, comes naturally to Nancy and evident in the longevity of her relationships. It is for certain, many have benefitted from her commitment and friendship. Again, a special thank you to Nancy for her many years of dedication and service.
